Unique Melody 3D Terminator: two-way three-driver system in a wooden case
In-channel headphones 3D Terminator (3DT) of the American company Unique Melody received three drivers responsible for two frequency ranges. For the bass, a pair of speakers with a double composite diaphragm with a diameter of 7 mm was used, and a 10-mm CNT driver (with a carbon nanotube membrane) works at medium frequencies.
Each of these speakers received a separate acoustic channel formed in 3D printing technology from plastic. The overall body is made of stabilized wood. According to Unique Melody, each of the three drivers is installed in the headphones and then configured manually. With an impedance of 25 Ohms, the 3DT can work with almost any signal source. They have a declared sensitivity of 113 dB.
It is claimed that the shape of the case headphones will be able to accurately “fit” in the ear. Several paint layers were applied to the finish. The kit includes a cover made of Italian artificial leather manufactured by Dignis and a premium SPC cable.
3D Terminator headphones can be purchased in the US for $400. Nothing is known about the release dates of the new product on the market yet.
