Vinshine Audio Denafrips Hermes DDC Converter Cleans Signal For DAC And Eliminates Jitter
Vinshine Audio has opened a pre-order for Denafrips Hermes DDC, an audiophile Digital to Digital Converter (DDC).
The device is primarily designed to eliminate jitter: due to proprietary reclocking technologies and adaptive resynchronization of the FIFO buffer, the digital output signal is “cleaned”.
The company assured that its DDC unit will significantly improve sound quality if the device is installed on the signal path from the source to the main DAC. The manufacturer also noted the presence of the OCXO module, which is an electronically thermostated clock based on two resonating crystals.
Denafrips Hermes DDC can work with DSD64-DoP, DSD512 (via USB and I²S only) and PCM up to 768 kHz via USB and I²S. At lower ratings, the device can receive / output signals in these formats via SPDIF, TOSLink and AES / EBU.
Among other things, Vinshine Audio has highlighted a one-piece aluminum panel on the front of the converter and a stylish black finish.
On the company’s website, the cost of the novelty was 700 Singapore dollars (about 520$).
