Hidizs S9 Pro: portable DAC and headphone amplifier based on ES9038Q2M

Hidizs has announced the release of a new version of its popular budget DAC S9, which has received the Pro suffix. The Hidizs S9 Pro is based on the ES9038Q2M chip from ESS Saber.

The device is equipped with two headphone jacks – balanced 2.5 mm and unbalanced 3.5 mm. The output signal level at the balanced output is 200 mW, at the unbalanced one – 100 mW. The body of the gadget is machined from aluminum, and the built-in LED indicator allows you to find out the sampling frequency of the supplied signal. The DAC can work with PCM signals up to 32/768 and native DSD512 stream; connection to the signal source is made via the USB-C port.

The Hidizs S9 Pro portable DAC and headphone amplifier will retail for $119.
