Nina Simon’s albums “I Put A Spell On You” and “Pastel Blues” will be re-released on vinyl in audiophile quality
Jazz label Verve and UMe (Universal Music Enterprises) have announced plans to re-release singer-songwriter Nina Simone’s albums I Put A Spell On You and Pastel Blues on vinyl this November. The fans were promised audiophile quality.
I Put A Spell On You was released in June 1965. The work hit the charts of different countries and was well received by the public. In the autumn of the same year, “Pastel Blues” was released with the songs “Strange Fruit” and “Sinnerman”.
The reissues will be part of the Audiophile Vinyl Reissue Series by UMe and Acoustic Sounds. The companies have been cooperating for many years, from time to time launching new special series. Much attention is paid to blues, jazz and classical rock.
In the US, “I Put A Spell On You” and “Pastel Blues” are due to go on sale November 6th. Pre-order is already open through Amazon. They will ask for $27 for each record.
