Revox Limited Edition: 70th Anniversary Component Line
To celebrate its 70th anniversary, Revox has launched a Limited Edition series. It includes three models: the Joy S119 mk2 network receiver, the Joy S22 CD player and the Elegance G120 acoustics. Models of the series are released in 70 sets – one for each year of the company’s existence.
Joy S119 mk2 is a network stereo receiver with integrated amplifier functions, equipped with Wi-Fi and Ethernet, with AirPlay and support for Internet services. Its onboard DAC handles resolutions up to 24-bit / 192 kHz and MP3, WMA, AAC, Ogg, PCM, WAV and FLAC audio file formats. The receiver can be controlled from an Android / iOS smartphone. On board the Joy S119 is an amplifier with a maximum sinusoidal power of 2×60 W. There is also a subwoofer output.
The Joy S22 CD player features a sturdy aluminum body and a glass front panel. The devices can be controlled using the Revox Joy app or from the remote control. The player can be connected to the receiver using the cd-link connection. The novelty supports CD-DA discs and in the frequency range 5 Hz – 20 kHz demonstrates the THD + noise parameter <0.0019%.
Acoustics Elegance G120 is built according to the D’Appolito principle. The centerpiece of these slender speakers is a soft dome tweeter surrounded by a pair of midrange and a pair of woofers. Solid glass stands provide stability to the speakers. Elegance G120 operates in the 40 Hz – 30 kHz range with a music output of up to 150 watts.
The Elegance G120 models have received a gray agate finish. It matches in color with the body of the Revox Studiomaster T700 turntable, which can be added to the kit.
Revox Limited Edition components are already available in Russia. The Revox Elegance G120 Limited Edition outdoor speaker will cost 2,500 euros per pair (at the exchange rate at the time of purchase), and the Revox Joy S119 mk2 Limited Edition network stereo receiver will cost 2,642 euros. The Joy Remote S208 with a color screen and built-in battery will cost you 408 euros. The distributor has not yet announced the cost of the Revox Joy S22 CD-player in Russia, while the European price tag is 1,250 euros.
