New Lyngdorf built-in speakers series Discreet and LS

The Danish company Lyngdorf Audio presented built-in acoustics, and two lines at once – Discreet and LS, supplemented by a low-frequency speaker BW-20 Boundary Woofer. Lyngdorf already has digital amplification for new products, and together with the MP-40 and MP-60 AV processors.

Lyngdorf Discreet D-500 and D-500 Center Speakers

Lyngdorf Discreet includes two 2-way models D-500 and D-500 Center – in closed enclosures. Both received a pair of 175mm passive woofers powered by a 175mm mid-bass driver with 38mm voice coil, complemented by a 28mm soft dome tweeter. Both D-500 models reproduce bass down to 50Hz – so you can basically do without a subwoofer with them.

The Discreet series also includes a pair of more compact in-line speakers: the D-5 in a rectangular box and the round coaxial D-5 IC. Both are equipped with the same speakers as the D-500, but without passive radiators. The D-5 IC features an adjustable tweeter tilt. Both received their own buildings. The entire Discreet range has matte black and white grills.

Lyngdorf LS-1000 Speakers

For larger-scale home theaters, the Lyngdorf LS-1000 acoustics are intended. The loudspeakers are produced in pairs-symmetrical – for the left and right channels with a variant of the central channel. Each LS-1000 has four 115mm aluminum mid-range units with 25mm voice coils. Eight 25mm dome tweeters lined up in a line are responsible for the treble range.

For large rooms, these systems can be easily stacked into vertical arrays, minimizing floor and ceiling reflections. The speakers are connected to each other via built-in contact pins, so they can be easily docked without gaps.

Lyngdorf BW-20 Boundary Woofer

According to Lyngdorf, the BW-20 Boundary Woofer (limited range woofer) handles a wider range than a conventional subwoofer. The BW-20 includes a pair of 12-inch woofers, also with aluminum cones.

New series will go on sale in the first quarter of 2022. At the same time, they decided to show them at the ISE exhibition in Barcelona, scheduled from February 1 to February 4, 2022.

As for the cost of the Discreet and LS lines, the exact prices are not yet available – it is only known that in Europe their cost will be in the range from 1,600 to 3,600 euros.
