Anthem MRX 1140, 740 and 540 AV Receivers: Latest ARC Genesis Room, Dolby Atmos, DTS: X and IMAX Enhanced
Canadian Anthem’s MRX AV Receiver is a new addition. Three models are available: MRX 540, 740 and 1140 in configurations 15.2, 11.2 and 7.2, respectively. According to Anthem, the new items are assembled on a new electronic platform, support the latest version of the ARC Genesis Room room acoustics correction and are complemented by upgraded microphones with increased calibration accuracy.
2020 Anthem MRX receivers received seven inputs and two HDMI 2.0b outputs with support for HDCP 2.2 and eARC. Video section hardware upgrade to HDMI 2.1 (8K) is provided. The basic version claims support for Ultra HD with Dolby Vision, HDR or Hybrid Log Gamma.
New items are provided with 11 channels of amplification on the MRX1140, seven on the MRX 740 and five channels on the MRX 540. Support for Dolby Atmos, DTS: X and IMAX Enhanced audio is announced. The next generation multi-core DSP platform is responsible for audio signal processing. The receivers work with AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and Bluetooth v4.2. Spotify Connect and Roon will be available for all three models in the near future.
Anthem MRX receivers support a new web-based management platform with Internet configuration and wireless updates. Anthem Web’s user interface is complemented by a high-resolution front panel display.
All three models have received a redesigned Anthem-style design and will be on sale before the end of the year.
