ATC CDA2 Mk2 Headphone Amp/CD Player/Preamp now Roon Tested

The universal model of the British company ATC, combining a CD player, a preamplifier and a headphone amplifier, CDA2 Mk2 in one case, has received Roon Tested status. The ATC CDA2 Mk2 was announced three years ago.

The model can be combined with any of the traditional stereo setups, but it is said to be especially good when paired with a proprietary P2 power adapter or active speakers from ATC.

After Roon Labs LLC tightened its stance on certification of compatible devices last year, the Roon Tested mark has become a guarantee of the platform’s quality work on a tested device.

ATC CDA2 Mk2 works with digital audio over USB, and is complemented by coaxial and optical inputs. The preamplifier is fully discrete and operates in Class A with balanced and unbalanced outputs.

Thanks to Roon, ATC CDA2 Mk2 owners will be able to work with their local network music library alongside the giant Tidal and Qobuz collections, using computers and smartphones as additional control and storage devices.

In the UK the ATC CDA2 Mk2 is still priced at £2,950.
