Bluesound launches Pulse Sub+ compact subwoofer
The Bluesound Pulse Sub + wireless active subwoofer replaces the first Bluesound Pulse Sub. Like its predecessor, the Pulse Sub+ is intended to complement the Bluesound Pulse Soundbar 2i. It can also be combined with the Powernode 2i media player.
The 146mm Bluesound Pulse Sub+ is said to be especially useful wherever you need to place a subwoofer discreetly. A wall mount device is included and rubber feet are provided for the floor position. Dimensions allow you to place the sub under some piece of furniture.
The BluOS streaming platform is used to wirelessly control the subwoofer. BluOS Controller App runs on Apple iOS, Google Android, Amazon FireOS, Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS.
With its help, the Bluesound Pulse Sub+ subwoofer can be “tied” to its zone (a device from the Bluesound ecosystem). In the app, you can adjust the level, phase and crossover frequency.
The onboard Wi-Fi module supports dual bands. Alternatively, an RJ45 network interface is provided. The analog signal Pulse Sub+ can be received directly to the line input. There is also USB-switching on board, but it carries exclusively service functions.
The sound in Bluesound Pulse Sub+ is answered by an 8-inch driver with a polypropylene cone, powered by a class D amplifier with DSP processing – Bluesound called this bundle Smart DSP сlass D.
The Bluesound Pulse Sub+ wireless active subwoofer will be available in black and white – respectively, with a black or gray fabric grill.
In Europe, it has a suggested retail price of €850. The Bluesound Pulse Sub+ is slated to be available late October.
