Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival 2019 to release on vinyl, CD, DVD and Blu-ray
Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Music Festival is not a regular event, but luckily for blues and guitar lovers, it repeats every three to four years. The fifth full-length Clapton Festival took place in 2019, when people could still get together and listen to music.
Crossroads 2019 was held at the large American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. Traditionally, Clapton invited many stars: Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Buddy Guy, Peter Frampton and others participated. The festival lasted for two days.
A couple of months after the Crossroads 2019, rumors about the organizers’ plans to release discs and vinyl with a recording of the event appeared on the network, but fans did not wait for any official statements. And recently it became known that the 4-hour film-concert “Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival 2019” will still be released on physical media. And it’s not just about CDs and DVDs (as they’ve done before), but vinyl and Blu-ray as well.
It is already known that the concert will be available in November in the following editions: 3 CD, 6 LP, 2 DVD and 2 Blu-ray. The song list contains 42 songs, including cover versions and his own hits, played by Clapton himself. For example, Clapton and his blues band covered Prince’s song “Purple Rain”.
In the US, pre-order is already open. The vinyl box set cost $120, CDs asked for $30, DVD $30, Blu-ray $35. All publications were supplemented with booklets and brightly decorated.
