Nitebuds InsertSpeaker: a speaker pillow for those who like to fall asleep to music
Nitebuds, an American startup, has unveiled an unusual speaker pillow designed for those who like to fall asleep to music, but feel uncomfortable wearing headphones. The pillow itself does not have the functionality of a speaker, but it provides a special compartment for the anatomical InsertSpeaker module – it is a special acoustics with a power of 2W.
According to the manufacturer, a speaker properly installed in the pillow plays balanced and quiet enough for night mode. Nitebuds assured that the device will not disturb others and will not interfere with the user himself.
You can broadcast audio to a pillow with a speaker inserted into it from any source. InsertSpeaker supports Bluetooth 5.0 technology. The built-in battery should last for 20 hours on a single charge, that is, you can sleep with music almost all day long.
In addition to music, Nitebuds suggested using their pillow for soothing ASMR tracks. A selection of such content is available in the pillow application.
To date, the Nitebuds InsertSpeaker is available through the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform. For a basic set with all the main accessories, they asked for $99. As for the fundraising campaign, so far they have raised about $1,000 out of the planned $50,000. There are still chances of success – the campaign will end in two months. If the entire amount is collected, the supply of the pillow will begin in June.
