Teufel Airy Sports: wireless and truly sports headphones
The German company Teufel has created a truly sporty Airy Sports headphones in a not entirely wireless design. They are connected by a short, adjustable cable made of antibacterial silicone, which prevents the earbuds from being lost even if one of the earbuds does fall out of your ear. True, this will not be so easy to achieve: in addition to the usual fixation in the ear canal, each earphone is supplemented with a holding bow, similar to the bow of glasses.
The novelty is certified according to the IPX7 standard. This means that the earbuds are waterproof down to 1m for up to 30 minutes – they can be used in the pool.
Airy Sports is responsible for the sound of the so-called HD linear drivers with an impedance of 32 ohms. The stated frequency range is 20 Hz – 20 kHz. The headphone housing has good sound absorption – external noise practically does not interfere with the sound of music. The onboard Bluetooth module, which supports the SBC AAC and aptX codecs, is capable of wirelessly transmitting audio in “CD quality”.
On the connecting cable there is a remote control with standard buttons and a built-in microphone, equipped with Qualcomm cVc technology, which improves the quality of voice transmission. Voice control is also provided using Apple Siri or Google Assistant. The proprietary Teufel Airy Sports application, which works for iOS and Android, is suitable for setting up the headphones. In addition to sound equalization, the ShareMe function is also available in it, with its help two pairs of Teufel Airy Sports can be connected to one smartphone and broadcast the same music.
The plug-in remote has a MicroUSB port for charging the headphones. The connector is protected by a sealed hinged cover. In this case, the batteries are located in the case of each of the headphones outside, they provide up to 25 hours of operation. A charging cable, as well as a set of three ear tips and a hard case for the headphones themselves, are included.
Teufel Airy Sports is already available in Steel Blue and Night Black, with plans to add Moon Gray, Coral Pink and Artic Blue. The cost of the novelty in Germany is 120 euros.
