Bose Announces QuietComfort Earbuds and Sports Earbuds Fully Wireless Headphones

Bose has added two fully wireless earbuds to the catalog: QuietComfort Earbuds and Sports Earbuds. The former, as the name implies, refers to the line of devices with active noise canceling – a feature that is becoming increasingly popular in fully wireless earbuds. The description says that QuietComfort Earbuds are able to create the same silence as their full-size brothers in the noise-canceling line. Users can choose from 11 levels of noise reduction and noise transmission, and the included silicone ear cushions are slightly flattened, which improves noise isolation. Also, the headphones used an updated noise reduction algorithm, which works faster – the signal in antiphase from generates in less than a millisecond.

The bass was promised “rich and strong” at any volume level, but the company claimed “realistic reproduction” of music and emphasized the absence of white noise. On a single charge, the earbuds will last up to six hours, another 12 – with recharging from the complete case (supporting wireless charging). The model will be available in black and creamy white colors.

Sports headphones called Sports Earbuds, according to Bose, were designed from scratch, but ideologically are a descendant of SoundSport Free. They are said to have “a completely new acoustics system” and the sound is “powerful and motivating for further sporting achievements”.

The company’s engineers paid special attention to comfort: according to them, the headphones “with almost magical tenacity refuse to move in the ears and fall out of them”. Both models have IPX4 water resistance, as well as different sizes of in-ear braces. The battery of sports headphones is a little more modest: up to five hours on a single charge and another 10 with a case.

For control, both new items use touch pads on the outside of the case, from which you can also call a voice assistant. Both models also have an auto-pause feature, which pauses when one of the earbuds is removed from the ear (QuietComfort Earbuds works on either earbuds, Sports Earbuds only on the right). Headphones will go on sale in the US September 29th, Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are $279 and Sports Earbuds are $179.
