IsoAcoustics Aperta Sub: Subwoofer platform with two-way vibration isolation and spikes
Canadian company IsoAcoustics, focused on devices for controlling the vibration of audio components, has released a vibration isolating platform for Aperta Sub subwoofers.
The company called the new product “a smart solution that allows you to get the most out of the bass while taking care of your neighbors”. That is, the manufacturer claims that, on the one hand, Aperta Sub improves the sound of the subwoofer, and on the other hand, it reduces the transmission of its vibration below the floor through the ceiling.
The IsoAcoustics Aperta Sub is suitable for subwoofers weighing up to 36 kg and vibro-isolates the subwoofer from the floor, keeping it stationary along the speaker axis. Obviously, the Aperta Sub will be especially effective for subwoofers with side-facing cones.
The system includes four patented IsoAcoustics insulators, complemented by 15mm spike discs that are suitable for carpeted floors. The legs are interconnected by rods in a square construction with a total dimensions of 265x290x33 mm.
The cost of the IsoAcoustics Aperta Sub in the US – $150.
