Kharma has released four-way Exquisite Midi speakers with inverted Tweeter aperture
In addition to cables and audio components, the Exclusive family of Kharma audiophile products also includes acoustics. Allegedly, with a maximum sound pressure of 113 dB, the junior model of the Exquisite Midi is ready to sound a fairly large room. At the same time, the volume is not the main advantage of these systems.
In the Exquisite Midi floor pads, much has been done for precise sound. A massive cabinet made of high-pressure laminate (HPL), equipped with a sophisticated acoustic damping system, is designed to limit the natural vibrations of the walls to almost zero. For better phase consistency, the Kharma Exquisite Midi emitters are tilted backwards — however, the meter-long speaker body leaves a sense of steady proportionality.
Among the Exquisite Midi speakers is an inch tweeter with an inverted diamond diaphragm only 50 microns thick (comparable to the thickness of a human hair), made using CVD technology. The 7-inch Omega-7 midrange is equipped with a diffuser made of a proprietary carbon fiber composite.
The pair of 8-inch woofers combines heavy-duty and heat-resistant fiber materials such as Nomex and Kevlar. This entire set is connected in a 4-way configuration.
In the US, a pair of Kharma Exquisite Midi floor speakers will cost $85,000.
