Meze Audio Announces Limited Edition 99 Classics Headphones
Many people remember Meze Audio from the 99 Classics headphones — and now, almost 5 years after the release, the brand has decided to release a limited version of this model.
The new color scheme received solid maple cups, white faux leather trim and silver metal details. Specifications have not changed: these are lightweight full-size headphones with 40 mm speakers with Mylar diaphragms, playing in the range from 15 Hz to 25 kHz. The sensitivity of the headphones is 103 dB, the impedance is 32 Ohms.
Cups made of solid maple turned out to be very difficult to make: it takes 8 hours to give them the desired shape, and the final completion with polishing and varnishing takes 45 days. All metal elements, as in other versions of the 99 Classic, are made of zinc alloy and manganese steel.
In addition to the headphones, the kit includes two cables (1.2 m with a microphone and a button and 3 m), an adapter from 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm, an air adapter, a cable storage bag and a case for storing headphones. The limited-edition Meze Classic 99 is $20 more expensive than the regular ones: the headphones will cost $329.
