Panasonic SC-HTB490 low-profile soundbar: Wireless subwoofer, Bluetooth and 320W power
The new Panasonic SC-HTB490 Slim soundbar was created with the expectation of powerful sound in a compact, low-profile case. First of all, the manufacturer recommended the model for use with Panasonic TVs in 2021, but the SC-HTB490 should work without problems with any other modern TV panel. Among the main announced features are a wireless subwoofer, Bluetooth, HDMI ARC and built-in high-performance amplifiers.
Inside the soundbar there are two forward-facing speakers 4. 5×12 cm with a total power of 160 W (the emitters are supplemented with two phase inverters). The subwoofer received a single 16 cm speaker, which is powered by a 160 W amplifier.
Thus, the total power of the kit was 320 watts. The company promised a “rich, dynamic and engaging sound”. Supported audio formats include DTS Digital Surround, Dolby Digital, and LPCM.
In addition to Bluetooth, which is necessary for connecting a subwoofer and any wireless audio sources, the SC-HTB490 has a standard HDMI ARC connector for a TV, an optical input and USB for playing music from a USB flash drive.
You can place the soundbar under the TV on the wall (fasteners are included). In the US, the cost of the new product will be about $480.
