The flagship Philips Fidelio X3 headphones were officially presented at the beginning of the year in the US at CES 2020 and presented for Europe in Amsterdam. Now they are finally on sale. According to Philips, the model is designed for the most demanding music lovers. High build quality is promised, combined with an attractive timeless design.
The Philips Fidelio X3 headphones are a wired open-type overhead model. The solid surface of the cups is formed by Danish acoustic Kvadrat fabric, and the headband is covered with Muirhead leather from Scotland. The dark satin-finished steel body is complemented by soft velor ear cushions filled with special foam.
The speakers in Fidelio X3 are tilted at a 15° angle for correct orientation in relation to the ear canal. These are full size 50mm drivers. Their multilayer polymer cones are gel damped and their voice coils operate in the field of powerful neodymium magnets. The Fidelio X3 can be connected in both balanced and unbalanced versions by simply changing the cable. The Philips Fidelio X3 cost $350 in the US market.
