Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” earns RIAA Diamond status

Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” is now RIAA Diamond. According to the RIAA, the song becomes diamond, which has sold more than 10 million copies and their stream equivalents. The song itself was written about 40 years ago, but its popularity continues.

Queen’s musicians commented on the new frontier. “All our crazy dreams are beyond any of them”, said Brian May. “Many thanks to everyone who has believed in us over the years”.

It is worth recalling that in the UK, “Bohemian Rhapsody” took first place in the charts nine weeks in a row after its release. Then she returned to the top again – already in 1991.

Another record “Bohemian Rhapsody” set on YouTube – this is the first video released before 1990 and received more than a billion views. In 2004, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and Freddie Mercury’s vocals were voted the best in rock history by a Rolling Stone poll.
