Sony Linkbuds S: closed TWS with a record low weight
Sony Linkbuds S fully wireless earbuds will be available soon, according to Sony. A sample test has already been published on The Verge. It turned out that the novelty is seriously different from the Sony Linkbuds model, which managed to be released this year – at least the presence of the same active noise cancellation, because their design is closed. At the same time, Sony Linkbuds S headphones are included in the line, where in addition to Linkbuds, the flagship WF-1000XM4 and the entry-level model WF-C500 are presented.
The main advantages of the Sony Linkbuds S are not only in a few quite useful features. You can call auto-detection of ears, adaptive auto-switching of ANC modes and continue playing after a call, but it is important that all this is in a very lightweight design: one earbud weighs less than 5g. This did not prevent the new product from maintaining LDAC audio transmission quality. Obviously, for the sake of lightness, the size of the speaker in the Sony Linkbuds S is only 5mm.
Sony Linkbuds S built-in battery life is approximately 6 hours with ANC enabled. If you use the charging case, the battery life will increase to 20 hours. The novelty will appear in a case with a rough textured surface in three colors: black, white or beige.
The price of the Sony Linkbuds S TWS headphones is already known, in the US it will be $200.
