System Audio Room Service: application for acoustic room correction with SA speakers

The Danish company System Audio has released a mobile app Room Service. This is a free software for correcting the acoustic properties of a room. It works with SA products: the SA legend silverback active speakers and the Stereo Hub.

According to SA, Room Service is a simple, proprietary app that measures room acoustics, calculates equalization, and enhances sound. The most tangible results from Room Service are promised in the low frequency range.

The application takes about one minute to take acoustic measurements, calculate room correction, and set up the system. The microphone and electronics of the iPhone are used as a measuring device (the Room Service version for Android is promised, but not yet ready). The calibration of the measuring device used was not reported to SA.
