Tektron TK211MPSE Tube Power Amplifier REF: Classic with NOS Tube Mount
Tektron, Italy, has unveiled the TK211MPSE REF tube monoblock. This power amplifier is capable of delivering 38 watts over a frequency range of 15 – 35,000 Hz. The device operates on four direct-channel RCA 211 triodes and one double 6SN7 triode. According to the manufacturer’s data, all lamps are selected and coordinated with each other. Moreover, upon request, the amplifier can be equipped with NOS (New Old Stock) lamps – “from old stocks”.
The amplifier is assembled in the classical tradition, without the use of printed circuit boards. The components of the circuit are united by manual two-point wiring. The bias current is adjusted by a precision potentiometer and monitored by an old-school milliammeter located on the front of the solid wood case.
The top panel of the TK211MPSE REF amplifier is a massive OFC copper plate, brass upon request. Each of the two amplifiers required for a stereo system weighs 30 kg. The price of the new item has not yet been published.
