To mark the centenary of the HMV record store, a series of limited vinyl releases will be released

This July, the British music store chain HMV and, in particular, its London store His Master’s Voice, which has existed for a long time in London’s Oxford Street, will celebrate its 100th anniversary. A series of vinyl releases is planned for this event.

These will be the store’s favorite albums published over the past 100 years – the list of releases will be published during June. The first 30 albums will be on sale on July 24, followed by additional additions by the end of the year. Basically, this promotion can be considered an extended version of HMV’s annual Vinyl Week – “Vinyl Week”, which HMV holds annually.

HMV stores opened after the pandemic lockdown on April 12. Since that time, the number of visitors has doubled compared to the exit from the previous lockdown. This once again confirms the growing popularity of vinyl discs, which is observed all over the world.
