Turtle Beach Recon 500 Gaming Headset Receives 60mm Eclipse Dual Coaxial Drivers
Renowned for its gaming and audio accessories, Turtle Beach has expanded its Recon line of headsets with a flagship 500-index wired model. The novelty features patented 60mm Eclipse Dual drivers with neodymium magnets.
The use of such a large caliber, rare in headphones, is due to the design of the speakers. The Turtle Beach Recon 500 features two-way coaxial emitters with cellulose composite membranes.
Frequency separation between the tweeter and subwoofer is handled by a built-in headphone and, according to Turtle Beach, a carefully tuned crossover. Soft ear cushions made of memory foam in breathable, absorbent fabric are designed to make even the most prolonged game comfortable.
The elastic headband made of plastic with a metal core serves the same purpose. It is easy to adjust and designed to last. Plus, the patented Turtle Beach ProSpecs design allows the headset to be worn comfortably over the glasses without pushing on the temples.
We tried to make Turtle Beach Recon 500 truly versatile. The TruSpeak noise canceling microphone can be detached from the headphones. The headset is equipped with a standard 3.5mm audio interface and can be used with the latest Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, computers, players and smartphones. The novelty is already available in austere black or light Arctic Camo design.
The price of the Turtle Beach Recon 500 gaming headset in the US was $80.
