Updated Bluetooth headphones Audio-Technica M50xBT2: multi-source connectivity and additional codecs
The updated ATH-M50xBT2 wireless headphones are equipped with the same 45mm speakers found in the M50xBT, but the manufacturer has added a built-in voice assistant, multipoint Bluetooth and additional codecs.
The headphones now support AAC, LDAC and SBC. The company has promised a stable connection without interruptions. For gamers and streamers, we made a special mode with minimal latency. In the description, the company focuses on the fact that the headphones use the AK4331 DAC and a separate amplifier.
Also, the M50xBT2 has a built-in voice assistant Alexa, which will be able to perform any voice command within its capabilities. And from now on, headphones can be simultaneously connected wirelessly to a smartphone for calls and to another device (for example, to a player).
They suggested charging the headphones via USB-C. If you believe the company, then in 10 minutes you can charge for 3 hours of work. In total, Audio-Technica promised up to 50 hours of battery life (if you don’t listen to music continuously at maximum volume). If necessary, you can use the supplied cable.
In the US, the ATH-M50xBT2 wireless headphones are already on sale for $200.
