Wharfedale Elysian 1 announced

Wharfedale’s top Elysian line is expanding: the company recently introduced the center channel acoustics, and now it also showed the younger bookshelf speakers – the Elysian 1.

This is a two-way and relatively compact model, visually repeating other speakers in the series, but in a smaller size. It is based on a ribbon tweeter and a fiberglass midrange / woofer. The case, like other models in the line, is heavy and sturdy.

The tweeter has a damped rear chamber, which Wharfedale claims will deliver treble clarity unique to a device of this level. The woofer is loaded onto a proprietary slotted bass reflex and plays from 49 Hz. The back wall was left for two pairs of terminals.
