Young Americans exclusive limited edition to be released September 18
Young Americans, released in 1975, was David Bowie’s ninth studio album and the first song to top the American Bilboard 200. In honor of the 45th anniversary of this release, Parlophone is releasing a limited edition version of Young Americans on gold vinyl.
With this album, Bowie not only cemented his success in the United States, but also laid the foundation for his new sound, which he called Plastic Soul. The title track and song Fame, co-recorded with John Lennon, are still considered some of Bowie’s finest works to this day.
The Young Americans Anniversary Edition will be released on September 18th around the world, just like 45 years ago, it will only be available in offline stores.
