Astell & Kern A&ultima players are Roon Ready certified

Astell & Kern A & ultima players-DAC-headphone amplifiers received Roon Ready certification. To access the new features, you need to install the latest firmware via Wi-Fi (OTA), which from March 16 is already available for download.

As a result, the A & ultima SP1000 Limited Edition and the flagship SP2000 will be able to work with Roon. After the firmware, according to Astell & Kern, these players will connect to Roon without any additional configuration. Digital audio is delivered to the players via Roon with bit-fidelity.

According to information from Astell & Kern, the A & ultima SP1000 limited edition and SP2000 models are the first of the brand’s products to receive Roon certification. It is logical to assume that after them the Roon functionality, if possible, will be added to other Astell & Kern models. However, that Roon’s support took more than two years to reach the A&ultima models.
