DALI Katch G2 second generation of the speaker with aptX HD, AAC, NFC, USB and a larger battery

The Danish company DALI has released an updated version of the Katch Bluetooth speaker in the G2 version. The first generation came out 5 years ago and turned out to be successful – on the basis of the column, they even created the Katch One soundbar. The original design and axisymmetric layout of the two-way two-channel system is said to have resulted in excellent sound, and the G2 has tried to improve on all of this.

The inner volume of the aluminum case is split in two this time for better stereo effect. The novelty produces a maximum 2×25 W RMS, and at medium volume it is ready to work for 30 hours – 6 hours more than the original version. And for charging this time, not a coaxial connector is used, but a two-way USB. Together with the 3.5mm AUX input, it is protected by a rubber cover.

The new Bluetooth-module supports aptX HD, aptX, AAC codecs and NFC technology. In TWS (True Wireless Stereo) mode, a pair of Katch G2s can be combined into a pretty serious stereo system. True, the streaming functions, along with the Wi-Fi necessary for them, as well as voice control, are still missing in the new product.

In the UK, the DALI Katch G2 is already available for £330.
