Sony 360 Reality Audio format appears in the Sennheiser Ambeo soundbar
After installing the next firmware update, the Sennheiser Ambeo soundbars will work with the immersive Sony 360 Reality Audio format. Sennheiser Ambeo soundbar initially understands surround formats such as Dolby Atmos, MPEG-H and DTS: X. And you don’t need rear satellites for this – Sennheiser Ambeo creates virtual sound sources that surround the listener.
The formats already available in Sennheiser Ambeo are used mainly in the audio accompaniment for films and TV series. Added to them, Sony 360 Reality Audio will allow you to listen to musical audio in a spatial version. About 4,000 songs have already been recorded in this format.
Access to 360 Reality Audio tracks in Sennheiser Ambeo is provided through the built-in Chromecast function. Other interesting upgrades await Ambeo owners, Sennheiser said.
