Audeze Penrose: wireless magneto-planar gaming headset with dual connection

Audeze continues to develop the gaming direction: for those gamers who decided to give up wires and who do not need virtualization, the company has developed a headset. This is a wireless model that connects to the source using a 2.4 GHz dongle, which provides low-latency and high-quality audio signal transmission. You can also connect the headset to your mobile device via Bluetooth at the same time to chat there (SBC and AAC codecs are supported).

Penrose – magneto-planar headset. The cups of the model are equipped with branded emitters with ultra-thin uniform 100mm diaphragms, Fluxor magnetic system and fazor phase-leveling technology. Headphones play from 10 Hz to 50 kHz, their acoustic design is closed. A removable microphone with built-in noise filters is attached to the left Cup on a flexible leg. The ear pads are made of memory foam and decorated with artificial leather.

A classic mini-Jack is available from the wired connection options, and USB-C with an adapter is used for charging. The headphones are available in two versions: Penrose X for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC, and Penrose for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Mac. The cost of the headphones is the same, visually they differ only in the color of some parts: X they are green, the usual Penrose-blue.

Relative to most Audeze products, these headphones are quite light-320 grams. The start of sales in Russia is scheduled for October 2020, with an estimated price of 400$.
