Densen Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Limited Edition BEAT Pre and BEAT Power Models in Previously Used Cases
The Danish company Densen Audio Technologies celebrated its 30th anniversary in an original way – with the release of a special set of BEAT Pre and BEAT Power power amplifier. The approach to the production of anniversary models should be recognized as original here: they used Densen cases of previous issues returned to the company.
The fact is that over 30 years of production (and the company rarely changes the design of its models and provides a lifetime warranty on them), Densen has accumulated a certain amount of old aluminum cases. All of them are in excellent condition, and it would be a sin to throw them away – that’s what Densen decided. These cases were used in the anniversary models BEAT Power and BEAT Pre, filling the devices with completely new electronics.
The Jubilee Densen BEAT Power is a 2 x 60W amplifier based on the popular B-300XS. The model received zero feedback, the first few watts it outputs in pure class A. The 500 VA toroidal transformer is supplemented by a capacitor bank with a total capacity of 60,000 μF.
The anniversary version of the Densen BEAT Pre is a classic Densen preamp based on the B-250 dual mono preamp with a relay controlled volume attenuator of no less than 200 steps. It is compatible with 1-NRG external power supply and Densen DAC DAC and DP phono expansion boards.
Naturally, both models will appear in limited quantities, and their complete set has allowed to drastically reduce the price. Therefore, “in one hand” you can purchase no more than one anniversary BEAT Pre and two anniversary BEAT Power.
Both Densen anniversary models cost 700 euros in Europe.
