Bang & Olufsen released gold versions of some devices in honor of the anniversary
Bang & Olufsen celebrated a solid date – 95 years since its foundation – on a grand scale: in addition to returning and modernizing old iconic equipment, the company also offered limited holiday versions of modern devices.
The brand’s most popular products now feature special designs with gold-colored aluminum, Carrara marble, soft-tone fabrics, solid oak and genuine calfskin.
With this collection, Bang & Olufsen is said to celebrate all the emotions that the owners of the technology experienced with it, all the memories that they created thanks to these devices.
“We love the fact that owners bond with Bang & Olufsen products like good furniture,” said Gavin Ivester, vice president of design. “This connection creates memories. And the gold collection not only shows our commitment to timeless craft and design, but also celebrates 95 years in which we create history together with the owners of our technology”.
The collection includes nine products – from portable to very complete. The company offered special versions of the Beolab 50 and Beolab 90 acoustics with a sand-colored textile finish, golden aluminum and warm accents in solid light oak.
The premium TV Beovision Harmony has oak slats set off by golden aluminum (the remote control is also golden), and the Beoplay A9 acoustics combine wooden legs with a thin and graceful golden ring that frames a large round cabinet.
The more compact home audio system Beosound 2 has an all-metal body and therefore is completely gilded, and the Beosound Balance is just the first device to use Carrara marble – from it the speaker base is made.
From portable technology in the new design, the second generation Beosound A1 speaker is available, as well as the flagship Beoplay H95 headphones and the third generation Beoplay E8 completely wireless.
The start of sales of the gold collection is scheduled for November 17 – both in official Bang & Olufsen stores and at partners. The cost of devices in limited colors will not differ from devices in classic finishes.
