Spotify can be listened directly to Apple Watch

All the way forward is that Apple Watch owners who enjoy listening to Spotify on the go can leave their iPhone at home. Thanks to the Spotify experts for this – they managed to equip their Apple Watch app with streaming support. This feature has been in beta testing for several months now. Finally, Spotify announced that an update is coming soon that will enable offline interaction between the Apple Watch and Spotify.

“We are focused on developing capabilities that allow users to listen to Spotify wherever and whenever they want, regardless of device or platform,” a Spotify spokesperson said. “After an initial testing period, we are now rolling out streaming capabilities for Spotify to Apple Watch”.

Apple Watch Series 3 or later running watchOS 6.0+ (7.1+ is best) will be able to interact directly with Spotify. To receive streaming audio, of course, you need a Wi-Fi connection or mobile Internet. Testers have already confirmed the functionality of the new feature.

Recall that this summer, Apple acquired an online radio station under its own brand. The simple interaction between Apple Watch and Spotify will empower smartwatch owners again.
