Bentley, Focal and Naim unveil special editions of Radiance headphones and Mu-so music system
Bentley, Focal and Naim have announced a joint project to launch the Focal for Bentley Radiance headphones and the Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition wireless music system. In terms of headphones, this special closed model uses 40mm speakers with aluminum-magnesium membranes type “M” (special shape).
Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition is an exclusive version of the original second generation Mu-so that can be multi-room or stand alone. The device is equipped with Bluetooth and various wired interfaces including HDMI and USB. There is support for streaming services and compatibility with AirPlay 2 and Chromecast, both of which have a unique design in the style of the car Bentley Mulliner Bacalar.
According to Bentley, the dedicated headphones and music system are not just design and style, but “a close collaboration between engineers from all three companies”. The goal was to create premium products. It was alleged not only experience, but also a long-standing partnership (Naim has been working with Bentley and Focal for several years) to achieve the planned.
According to the partners, the products turned out to be of the highest quality: rare and expensive materials, high precision, full elaboration of all details. For example, the Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition wireless system features African wood trim. This material has been varnished several times and completed with a copper-treated grill. The headphones, in turn, have leather ear cushions (English Pittards leather), as well as copper and aluminum cast inserts. The earbuds come with a premium case, both of which will hit stores in October. In the US, the cost of the Focal for Bentley Radiance headphones will be $1,300. Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition will cost $2,200.
