Creative releases updated Sound Blaster Z SE sound card for gaming and multimedia

Creative Technology has announced the release of the Sound Blaster Z SE sound card. This map has received support for additional features available in the Creative Sound Blaster Command app. These include support for profiles for popular games, as well as presets for the microphone and headphones, which should make the Sound Blaster Z SE suitable for both gaming and video conferencing.

The characteristics of the Sound Blaster Z SE remained the same as the previous standard version (signal/noise — 116 dB and quality 24 bit/192 kHz), and the added features, as explained by the manufacturer, made the new card the optimal solution for games and multimedia.

Among other things, the new Sound Blaster Z SE supports 7.1 virtual sound in headphones and 5.1 discrete sound for audio systems. The press release says that users of the previous version of Sound Blaster Z can install a new application from Creative to get the updated functionality described above.
