D’Agostino Progression Integrated Amplifier Receives Roon-Ready Status
The first integrated stereo amplifier in the D’Agostino Progression series, the D’Agostino Progression Integrated model, is officially Roon-ready. Rather, this status refers to its additional digital module, because Progression Integrated is created in a modular concept. By the way, it provides for the installation of an additional phono stage in the device.
In the announcements, representatives of the company promised the digital part of Progression Integrated compatibility with Roon. However, Roon Labs LLC. has tightened its approach to certifying new devices. Perhaps this explains the fact that Progression Integrated was not certified so quickly.
The Progression Integrated digital module is equipped with a fully differential DAC. The circuit is capable of handling PCM bitrates up to 24 bit / 192 kHz and DSD up to 11.1 MHz. MQA is also supported.
Wired and wireless network connection was supplemented with coaxial and optical S / PDIF interfaces. In addition, there is also a USB port for direct connection to PC and Mac. The module will provide D’Agostino Progression Integrated owners with access to Tidal and Qobuz services. And from now on – to the possibilities of Roon.
In the basic version, the European price of the D’Agostino Progression Integrated amplifier was 20,000 euros, and for the additional phono stage and digital module you will have to add another 8,000 euros.
