Smart speakers based on Google Assistant received an incognito Guest Mode

Google has added a new private mode Guest Mode to smart speakers based on the Google Assistant.

In incognito mode, which is activated through a special voice command “OK, Google, turn on guest mode”, the smart speaker will stop remembering requests and commands received from the user. According to Google, this will be useful to the owner, including in situations when guests come and start “talking” with the column. Thus, the smart assistant will not remember unnecessary information.

However, it should be noted that it will not be possible to completely convert the smart column to “one hundred percent incognito”: requests will be able to remember connected services, including Google Maps and other similar paired platforms.
