Dolby Atmos volume control added to Sonos Arc soundbar

With the release of the next firmware, owners of the Sonos Arc soundbar will be able to independently adjust the volume of the two upward-facing Atmos speakers. Until now, in this system, which was released a year ago, the Trueplay function was responsible for setting the Atmos channels. Everything happened automatically and nothing else.

The adjustment has appeared in the updated Sonos app. If you open the latest version, then by going to the items “Settings” – “System” – “Arc”, you can go to the adjustment of the “Sound Pitch”. Now, this parameter can meet not only the criteria inherent in the Sonos automation, but also the system owner’s idea of how a Dolby Atmos system should sound.

Another improvement with the latest Sonos firmware update has gone to owners of the most recent Roam portable wireless speaker. With Google Assistant voice control turned on, this device drained its battery pretty quickly (in about half a day), even when completely idle. This flaw should disappear with the latest firmware.
