IFA 2021 organizers promise a “full-scale return” in the fall
IFA 2021, the largest consumer electronics trade show, will take place this year in its usual format. At least, these are the plans of its organizers. Jens Heithecker, IFA Executive Director and Executive Vice President of Messe Berlin, said: “The Berlin IFA is set to make a full comeback to lead our industry again”.
The organizers of the exhibition hope for good results from the vaccination against Covid-19. They stated that public health and safety will be their top priorities. Work with doctors has already begun. The goal is “to develop concepts that ensure the safety of visitors and exhibitors alike.”
As far as exhibitors are concerned, over 80% of the exhibition space has already been reserved. However, it is obvious that IFA will not set new attendance and representativeness records this year.
But the program of the exhibition will include new events – for example, the Tech Up for Women conference organized by women for women (it remains to be hoped that men will still be allowed there). Berlin Photo Week – Berlin Photo Week – will be associated with this conference. Popular events such as IFA Next, Shift Mobility and IFA + Summit will be repeated.
IFA 2021 is scheduled for September 3-7 – as usual, it will take place at the Messe Berlin exhibition center.
