John Lennon 80th Anniversary Compilation “Gimme Some Truth” Coming On Vinyl, CD & Blu-ray

John Lennon would have turned 80 on October 9 this year. They decided to celebrate this event with a special release called “Gimme Some Truth”. The anniversary edition is a collection of remixes of Lennon’s best songs. They took the original master recordings as a basis and promised the “best” sound. The selection of the tracks was, of course, handled by Yoko Ono. Lennon’s son Sean also took part in this case. Depending on the version (CD, 2 CDs, vinyl, Blu-ray), fans will find 19 or 36 tracks on the compilation “Gimme Some Truth”. Blu-ray (included in the box set) will allow you to listen to all 36 tracks in 24-bit / 96 kHz quality in 5.1 or Dolby Atmos formats.

As for vinyl, the richest edition will be on four LPs. As you might guess, this bundle will also include a variety of bonus content, including postcards and brochures, and has already started pre-order. In the US, “Gimme Some Truth” will cost $14 per CD. For two discs and Blu-ray, they will ask for about $80 (a book is included). If vinyl is needed, the standard two-disc edition costs $60.
