John Lennon “Plastic Ono Band” – Half-Speed Mastered vinyl reissue

In April 2021, Capitol Records will release an audiophile reissue of John Lennon’s debut solo album on vinyl.

The album will be released on two 180-gram LPs, with the source material for this release prepared at Abbey Road Studios by sound engineer Paul Hicks. He remixed the original multitrack tapes completely and then remastered them at half speed. In addition, the track list includes alternative versions of all the songs on the disc. Also included is the famous WAR IS OVER! The reissue is scheduled to go on sale on April 16, 2021, and will be priced at $69.99.
