LG Eclair: compact soundbar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support
The LG Eclair soundbar (model QP5) has become the smallest in the company’s lineup. Despite its dimensions (296×59.9×126 mm), Eclair meets modern standards: there is support for Dolby Atmos, DTS: X, there is 4K HDR (Dolby Vision) pass-through, the AI Sound Pro adaptive sound adjustment algorithm is used, the Meridian Audio settings are used.
If LG is to be believed, the 3.1.2-channel soundbar configuration and technology involved is enough to create immersive sound, wide stage and authentic tonal balance. Emphasized Meridian’s Horizon technology is capable of converting two-channel stereo content into multi-channel audio. The total declared power was 320 watts.
The soundbar is equipped with HDMI eARC, Bluetooth and USB audio return channel. Owners of LG 2021 TVs will be able to take advantage of the TV Sound Mode Share feature, which combines the processing power of the Alpha processors and AI Sound Pro technology.
In terms of looks, LG looked at the oval body and classic black and white jersey colors – it claims the soundbar should go with any décor. Among other things, the manufacturer noted that Eclair was created in accordance with current eco-requirements.
The soundbar also comes with a 220W wireless subwoofer. On the American market, Eclair will be asked for about $600.
