Moog presented the documentary series “Giants” about the development of electronic music

The first series of a documentary about the first steps of electronic music, inextricably linked to the legendary Moog synthesizer, appeared on the Moog Music YouTube channel.

The Moog musical instrument was created in 1964 by Robert Moog and Herb Deutsch. Herb, by the way, appeared at the beginning of the video with the words “I am very, very proud!”. Indeed, Moog then simply changed the face and sound of popular music – just think of “Autobahn” by Kraftwerk or “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer.

The series is valuable for a large amount of documentary footage, which is interspersed with memories of real participants in the events. You can find out about the progress of work on the next series by subscribing to the Moog Music newsletter.

In the next series of “Giants” footage was announced with the founder of the British label Mute Records Daniel Miller (Daniel Miller). Bernie Krause tells his story of how he, along with Paul Beaver, introduced electronic music to George Harrison and others. Episodes will be posted on YouTube as they become available.
