Musical Fidelity M6x Vinyl Phono Stage: Three Separately Configurable Discrete Inputs
With the M6x Vinyl phono stage, Musical Fidelity ditched op amps and opted for a fully discrete circuit. According to company representatives, the new product is designed to create a neutral sound and be as invisible as possible in terms of interference with the audio signal.
The device is equipped with three separate, independent inputs. For each of the inputs, you can select parameters such as cartridge type (MM or MC), capacitance, impedance and gain. Thus, the M6x Vinyl is ready to work with multiple turntables or multiple tonearm options on a single turntable. The device corrects the RIAA or RIAA / IEC frequency response with an accuracy of ± 0.2 dB. At the same time, THD M6x Vinyl, measured at a frequency of 1 kHz, does not exceed 0.005%.
The Musical Fidelity M6x Vinyl has buttons with status LEDs on its front panel for tuning. The model is made in a “rack” form factor, its body can have two versions of the coating: black or silver.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for M6x Vinyl in Europe is 1,800 euros.
