New KEF LS50 Wireless II
KEF recently announced another new product – the LS50 Wireless II speaker system. The model differs from its predecessor, first of all, by the use of the MAT solution – the Technology of Absorbent Material.
The KEF LS50 Wireless II also received an updated driver and MAT disc behind it. The built-in 100-watt class AB amplifier drives the tweeter, while the mid-low-frequency driver is driven by a 280 watt class D amplifier. The proprietary Music Integrity Engine makes the most of the combination of a coaxial driver and MAT damper disc. The connection between the right and left speakers is wireless. Each speaker has a subwoofer output.
Support for digital streaming formats includes PCM 24/384 and DSD256, plus MQA decoding. The model is Roon Ready and can be controlled using the proprietary KEF Connect app, which integrates all major music streaming services from Tidal, Amazon Music, Qobuz, Deezer, Internet radio, Spotify Connect, MQA and Roon.
The KEF LS50 Wireless II monitors will be available in four finishes: Titanium Gray, Carbon Black, Mineral White and Crimson Red Special Edition; S2 floor stands are also available in the color of the speaker enclosures.
