Ozzy Osbourne shares his thoughts on reuniting with Black Sabbath
Ozzy Osbourne told Rolling Stone that he is not going to play with Black Sabbath anymore. The heavy metal pioneers ended their storied careers in February 2017 with concerts in Birmingham, but since then there have been rumors of a possible reunion for the band. Ozzy dismissed the idea when asked about the recent statements by guitarist Tony Iommi, who, on the contrary, would like to see Black Sabbath perform together again.
“Not for me. It’s done. The only thing I do regret is not doing the last farewell show in Birmingham with [drummer] Bill Ward. I felt really bad about that. It would have been so nice. I don’t know what the circumstances behind it were, but it would have been nice. I’ve talked to him a few times, but I don’t have any of the slightest interest in [doing another gig]. Maybe Tony’s getting bored now.”
He also confirmed that of all the members of the former group, he most often interacts with Iommi. After the pandemic, the musician expects to return to his solo project.
