Taylor Swift Repeats Whitney Houston’s Success On Billboard 200
With her album Folklore, released in late July, singer Taylor Swift repeated Whitney Houston’s success on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart, becoming one of the most-listened women in history, according to Billboard. According to the publication, Swift’s collection has been ranked first for the sixth week.
Taken together with her other previously topped albums, she spent 46 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200. Whitney Houston achieved the same result (she passed away in 2012). Her four albums topped Billboard 200: debut “Whitney Houston” (14 weeks in 1986), “Whitney” (11 weeks in 1987), soundtrack “The Bodyguard” (20 weeks in 1992-1993) and “I look to you” (one week in 2009).
Swift and Houston are followed by Adele in the list of the most listened to singers, whose albums were in the first place in 34 weeks in the Billboard 200. We are talking about records “21” (24 weeks in 2011-2012) and “25” (10 weeks in 2015) -2016).
