Panasonic SoundSlayer SC-GN01 neck speaker for gamers
Panasonic introduced neck speaker system with the complex and long name SoundSlayer Wearable Immersive Gaming Speaker System (WIGSS)-SC-GN01. The device was created for gamers: the manufacturer promised an immersive gaming experience and comfort.
As it was explained in Panasonic, the novelty is an alternative to headphones and soundbar. By the way, SoundSlayer SC-GN01 is a development of the concept laid down in last year’s SC-HTB01 soundbar.
In addition to the usable design, the SC-GN01 has several features. For example, the speaker can work in one of three game modes: RPG, shooter and speech. Panasonic said that the creators of the game Final Fantasy XIV helped it to set up the modes. There are also two additional modes: movie and music.
To communicate with other gamers, our system is equipped with microphones with noise suppression and echo. As for the technical indicators, the total power was 4 Watts. All in all four drivers were used in the system – 3 cm each. For sound processing are responsible proprietary technologies, including True Magess.
The processor is capable of decoding up to 5.1 surround sound. You can use USB or a traditional 3.5mm plug for connection. It is compatible with PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. The device weighs about 250g.
The SoundSlayer Wearable Immersive Gaming Speaker System (WIGSS)-SC-GN01 will be released in October and will cost $200.
