American group Run-D.M.C. and the label 12on12 have announced an unusual vinyl compilation “12on12 RUN DMC”, dedicated to the former Run-D.M.C member. Jam Master Jay, who was killed in his studio in 2002.
The compilation is a collection of music tracks that once inspired the band and shaped the New York rap scene. It’s about the 80s of the last century. In total, 12on12 RUN DMC featured 12 tracks from various artists including Chic, Kraftwerk, The Sugarhill Gang, Anita Baker and Run-D.M.C themselves.
The edition was decorated by the artist-alternative from Los Angeles Reena Tolentino.
“12on12 RUN DMC” will be released on December 8th.
